タウンゼントらによるBlack Report と　ホワイトヘッドによるThe Health Devideを合わせて一冊にした本。職業階層をしっかり分類して健康状態との関連を見ている。とてもアップトゥーデートかつイギリストラディショナルな感じの一冊。

他に気になった本として。

考えてみるとオーストラリアには医療社会学者、デボラ・ラプトンがいた。ブライアン・ターナーはシンガポールだったか。でも近い。

書誌情報不十分だが、ブックショップ（ほとんどが教科書・参考書）で並べられていた以下の本。
